Search Modes:
Detailed – Recursively searches for potential family members. Note: For complex families, detailed searches may take over a minute.
Quick – No recursive family search.
PTAB-only – Only searches the PTAB database (useful when searching parties with large patent portfolios).
PTAB Decisions– Text searching of PTAB decisions. E.g. "settled expectations".
PTAB Attorney Name – Searches PTAB proceedings where the search term appears as lead counsel. Some backup counsel are also searchable when their names appear in a PTAB decision.
Recent Discretionary Decisions: Retrieves all Director Discretionary Denials/Referrals.
Settled Expectations Search: Shortcut to perform PTAB Decisions search for opinions addressing "settled expectations".
PTO search syntax:
? = any single character (e.g., "El?n")
* = zero or more wildcard characters (e.g., "Lego*")
"" = exact phrase match (e.g., "Sound View")
